Coming Soon: 2015 Sherwin-Williams® STIR® Student Design Challenge

Welcome to the Sherwin-Williams STIR Student Design Challenge — celebrating excellence in residential and commercial design by design students in the U.S. and Canada.

What it’s about

The contest has two categories: residential design and commercial design. The top winner from each category will receive a $2,500 cash prize. Second-place winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and third-place winners a $500 cash prize.

The two first-place winners will also have their work featured in the 2015 edition of STIR magazine. All winners will also be shared on our Sherwin-Williams for Design Pros Facebook page, tweeted by @SWDesignPros, and featured in a future issue of Sherwin-Williams® STIR® eExtra email newsletter.

Who may enter: Students may enter as individuals or as a design team. With a team entry, one student must be designated as the team contact.

Contest categories: Residential design and commercial design. You can submit designs for a single room or an entire structure. Examples of commercial projects include (but are not limited to) a retail space, a healthcare facility, a hotel, a spa or a restaurant.

Requirements: Contest is open to projects of all kinds, though each entry must use a minimum of three Sherwin-Williams colors (of the student's choice). Only projects using Sherwin-Williams colors will qualify.

Files: Submit up to three color renderings, along with your supporting info. (For details see Contest Rules.)

Judges: Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing, Sherwin-Williams — and two notable judges to be named soon!

Timing: Contest will be open for entries March 1–April 15, 2015.
